ENERPRO FRS 300

A reliable, low-cost alternative to other methods for charging the DC bus in various applications. The FRS300 combines the convenience of having the firing, regulator and snubber circuit all on one board. Other applications for this board would be in 3-phase battery chargers, welding equipment and other DC bridges where power quality is not an issue.

A Single-Phase Firing/Regulating Board This FCRO2100 2-SCR firing/regulator board provides a low-cost, reliable solution for supplying hard firing ‘picket fence’ gate pulses in single phase AC controllers and AC/DC converters. Used in a wide variety of motor and generator controllers and industrial power supplies, the firing circuit is based on a phase-locked loop digital gate delay circuit that form the required equidistant 180° displaced thyristor gate pulses.

Single-Phase Firing / Regulating Board Assemblies utilizing the 4-SCR FCRO 4100 board as a basis, make a low-cost alternative for field excitation on large motors. Three-phase firing board

Introduced in 1983, the FCOG6100 industry-standard firing board is ideal for large industrial power supplies, motor controllers and generator controllers. Reduced component count and improved reliability is achieved by utilizing an industry-standard digital LSI-based design. The firing circuit’s phase-locked loop digital gate delay circuit forms a set of phase-balanced, 60°-spaced, high current thyristor gate pulses in response to a voltage or milliampere control input.

Variable frequency firing board

The FCOVF-6100 board is the variable frequency/variable voltage version of the industry standard FCOG 6100 board. This board is capable of utilizing input mains variable frequency and variable voltages coming from large alternators, converting the AC voltage to DC for field excitation and battery charging. Typical uses would be in diesel / electric vehicle.

ENERPRO FCOG 1200

Twelve-pulse firing board

The FCOG 1200 firing board supplies delayed, hard-firing gating pulses for parallel or series connected 12-pulse converters or AC controllers. The 12-gate outputs are spaced at 30° intervals required to eliminate the 5th and 7th harmonics of the AC input current.

Auxiliary firing boards

Each ENERPRO auxiliary firing board provides the ability to drive six to twelve additional thyristors. You can also daisy-chain up to five auxiliary firing boards with a single Enerpro firing board. Auxiliary firing boards can be used with the FCRO-4100, FCOG-6100, FCOG-1200 and FCOVF-6100 models.

Six-thyristor auxiliary firing board

The FCOAUX-60 operates in conjunction with the FCOG-6100 board, or the FCRO-4100 board, where operation of more than six (or four) is required. Typical examples would be paralleled thyristor applications and 4-Quadrant operation.

Six-thyristor auxiliary firing board

The FCOREM-60 is the high voltage version of the FCOAUX-60, when in combination with the FCOHV-61 firing board, allows 4-quadrant operation at mains voltage up to 900 VAC. This firing board is used whenever the firing board and the thyristor are separated by large distances.

CTRCT-1 /2

Regulator board

The CTRCT-1 and CTRCT-2 regulator boards are current trip regulators with current transformer (CT) feedback. Both boards provide current regulation in ac controller configurations with a latching overcurrent trip that may be configured for automatic or manual reset.

The ISOVLCL-2 is an isolated current and voltage regulator board intended specifically for use with Enerpro firing boards. The regulator board accepts current and voltage feedback signals and drives the firing board’s delay angle command signal, providing regulation of the controller or converter output according to the voltage or current command signal.
