Semikron - IGBT Driver Boards

Drivers form the vital interface between power transistors and controller. It cannot be emphasized enough that it is the choice and design of the electronic drive circuit that ultimately determine the performance of an IGBT. For this reason, the performance of the driver is closely linked with the degree of reliability of a converter solution. Inadequate driver power or the wrong choice of or poorly designed drive circuits can cause both modules and the driver - and ultimately an entire system - to malfunction.

Skyper

The new dual IGBT driver SKYPER® 52 offers individual tuning of protection settings, optimised EMI characteristics by differential signalling and controls single and parallel connected IGBTs up to 9.000 A. Semikron has unveiled a new IGBT driver generation. The new SKYPER® 52 is based on differential signal processing, allowing high immunity from external interference and low EMI. Individual adaptability of protection and monitoring settings provides for a customized driver solution. The engineers can do away with costly discrete insulation because of integrated power and signal transformers. Switching off the IGBT is optimised by IntelliOff.
