Pulse transformers in power electronics are generally used for transmitting a signal or a controlling pulse between electrically isolated circuits. Premo manufacture a range of Pulse transformers in various outlines and specifications geared to specific applications such as triggering thyristors and triacs.

Manufactured by Premo the PI series of Pulse Transformers are available as through hole or surface mount options. Manufactured using flameproof UL94V-0 material the working voltage is to 600Vac and isolation voltage is to IEC60664-1 |

Designed and manufactured by Premo for Semikron the PT series of Pulse Transformers feature a working voltage of up to 3200Vac. Isolation voltage complies with IEC60664-1 and the working temperature is to + 85 Degrees C Download PT Series Data Sheet here.

The Premo TI series of pulse transformers are constructed using high permeability E / EF ferrite cores and are wound using an in-house technique to achieve optimization of the electrical parameters which determine the overall performance, including high galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary windings, low coupling capacitance and low stray inductance.
