Vishay - HEXFRED Diode Modules

The Vishay Semiconductors product portfolio includes rectifiers, fast-recovery diodes, high-power diodes and thyristors, small-signal diodes, Zener and suppressor diodes, RF transistors, optoelectronics, power modules (a combination of power diodes, thyristors, MOSFETs, and IGBTs), and automotive modules and assemblies.

HEXFRED Diode Modules

These Dual Diode Modules  rated at 30 to 100 Amps from Vishay feature two fully independent diodes mounted in a ceramic fully insulated package (VISOL = 2500 VAC). The planar structure of the diodes, and the platinum doping life time control, provide an ultrasoft recovery current shape, together with the best overall performance, ruggedness and reliability characteristics.



HEXFRED Diode Modules

Vishays’ Ultrafast Soft Recovery Diode Modules are rated from 84to 255 Amps. FRED PtTM diodes are optimized to reduce losses and EMI/RFI in high frequency power conditioning systems. The softness of the recovery eliminates the need for a snubber in most applications. These devices are ideally suited for HF welding, power converters and other applications where switching losses are a significant portion of the total losses.



HEXFRED Diodes

Manufactured by Vishay this D067 half pak single diode module  is rated from 106 to 200 Amps. HEXFRED® diodes are optimized to reduce losses and EMI/RFI in high frequency power conditioning systems. An extensive characterization of the recovery behaviour for different values of current, temperature and dI/dt simplifies the calculations of losses in the operating conditions. The softness of the recovery eliminates the need for a snubber in most applications. These devices are ideally suited for power converters, motors drives and other applications where switching losses are significant portion of the total losses.

 

HEXFRED Diode Module

These Ultrafast Diode Modules manufactured by Vishay are UL  (E78996) approved and  rated at 110A and 1200V. The Simplified mechanical design (INT-A-PAKTM ) , aids rapid assembly and the DBC base plate provides superior isolation.
