Vishay - FRED Diode Modules

The Vishay Semiconductors' product portfolio includes rectifiers, fast-recovery diodes, high-power diodes and thyristors, small-signal diodes, Zener and suppressor diodes, RF transistors, optoelectronics, power modules (a combination of power diodes, thyristors, MOSFETs, and IGBTs), and automotive modules and assemblies.

These Dual Diode Modules rated at 60 to 144 Amps from Vishay feature two fully independent diodes mounted in a ceramic fully insulated package (VISOL = 2500 VAC). The planar structure of the diodes, and the platinum doping life time control, provide an ultrasoft recovery current shape, together with the best overall performance, ruggedness and reliability characteristics.

These Ultrafast Soft Recovery Diodes manufactured by Vishay are rated from 330 to 510 Amps. FRED PtTM diodes are optimized to reduce losses and EMI/RFI in high frequency power conditioning systems. The softness of the recovery eliminates the need for a snubber in most applications. These devices are ideally suited for HF welding, power converters and other applications where switching losses are a significant portion of the total losses.
